Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) is a major provider of healthcare in the South Gippsland Shire. GSHS offers a broad range of services that meet the needs of a diverse and sparsely populated area. With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, primary, residential aged care and community services.**About the Role**
GSHS seeks an Allied Health manager to lead a comprehensive Allied Health team in the provision of integrated services within our hospitals and community and identify opportunities to grow and enhance the service. This position is integral in ensuring the Allied Health Professionals provide high quality, evidence based care, whilst achieving set Departmental targets.- This position will report through to the soon to be established position of Director of Allied Health and is responsible for the management of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Therapy, Dietetics and Allied Health Assistants.**About You**
To succeed in this position you will ideally possess the following skills:
- Understanding of the different Allied Health funding streams.
- Current registration with AHPRA, or equivalent Allied Health registration.
- Experience as a team leader / manager of Allied Health teams in the acute and primary care settings.
- Proven communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Experience in leading quality improvement and change management.
- Current driver’s license.
- GSHS staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check, Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.-
