With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, ambulatory, residential aged care and community services.**About the Role**About You**
To succeed in this position you will ideally possess the following skills:
- Completion of a recognised course in ICD-10-AM Clinical Coding, Case-mix and related activities.
- Clinical coding experience desirable including exposure to a variety of medical and surgical specialties.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- A commitment to high quality medical records management.
- The scope of this position will include health information tasks in both campuses of the organisation. Flexible part-time hours will be discussed with the individual applicant’s preferences.- Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check.-
**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : I have had my COVID-19 vaccine, or if I am successful in obtaining this role, I am willing to receive a COVID-19 vaccine (3) before commencing.
- Essential : Eligible for full membership of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) or have successfully completed a recognised clinical coding course.
- Essential : Demonstrated experience coding using ICD-10-AM 11th Edition.
- Essential : Demonstrated coding competency and case mix knowledge.
- Essential : Demonstrated experience with a variety of computer software packages including 3M CodeFinder.
- Essential : Understanding of and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Essential : Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Desirable : Health industry experience.
- Desirable : Current Drivers Licence.
