**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Ongoing Full Time
- Band 5 salary $76,871.08 plus 11.5% superannuation
- Flexible working arrangements available

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person who is interested in learning more about environmental health and being part of a team that is innovative, and community focussed.

As a vital member of our team, your focus will be on the Council's Domestic Wastewater Management plan, and also provide essential support to assist with:

- The safety and quality of public swimming pools.
- Food and water sampling for community well-being.
- Nuisance investigations and taking steps to mitigate them.
- Tobacco control efforts for a healthier community.
- Health premise investigations to maintain community health standards.
- Taking part in our community sharps program and health education initiatives to empower the community.

**ABOUT YOU**:
We are looking for a team member who possesses:

- Experience or an interest in compliance investigations, health education, or related fields, with a strong interest to learn and grow in these areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information.
- The ability to work autonomously while also collaborating seamlessly within a team environment.
- Proficiency in navigating various systems, and strong computer skills.
- A proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn from and engage with our team members, including on-site experiences to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Environmental Health team's activities.
