**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Draftsperson to join our busy team here at ThinkFactor. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main focus of this role is to create technical drawings that ThinkFactor can use in manufacturing and construction development.

To succeed in this role, it is preferred that you have knowledge on carrying out detailed drafting work that includes translating conceptual designs into detailed engineering drawings, flow diagrams, and schematics field visits as requested for site measurements.

Your first 2 weeks will allow you to shadow our current Draftsperson and bring you up to speed with all our project work, systems and processes.

**Here’s what your day to day might look like**:

- Produce highly detailed joinery shop drawings
- Perform all file conversion and nesting functions for the CNC machine
- Project Ownership includes working with architects, designers, and builders during design revisions
- Responsible for the creation of the list for ordering on all jobs
- Draft and prepare technical drawings and designs for production on construction projects
- Be involved in technical matters and taking site measurements when required
- Ensure quality assurance of completed work prior to moving those parts/components to the next manufacturing process or area, e.g. site
- Consult with clients to identify potential issues and recommend improvements to minimise the need for redesign

**ABOUT YOU**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or trade qualifications (Ideally Cert. III or IV)
- 3-5 years of drafting experience
- Experience with high-end joinery drafting and design required
- Experience with Cabinet Vision software is essential
- Ability to ensure drawings are completed accurately and on time, and to the client’s specifications
- Ability to work without direct supervision, and engage in regular reporting upwards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Experienced with Australian Standards & Building Codes, and relevant health and safety legislation and its implementation
- Willingness to learn and develop your skillset
