The role

We are seeking an experienced SolidWorks Draftsperson / Detailer to join our team at ARA Manufacture Pty Ltd in
Derrimut, Victoria
. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings for our high-security equipment and other industrial products.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of detailing for specialist high-security equipment.
  • Manage and schedule work with external draftspeople.
  • Translate concept drawings into fabrication-ready CAD documentation.
  • Prepare shop drawings and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our CAD and drafting processes

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a SolidWorks Draftsperson or Detailer, ideally in the engineering or manufacturing sector
  • Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks and other CAD software tools
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, accurate technical drawings
  • Solid understanding of drafting standards, practices and techniques
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
