Are you a policy officer with experience in health and medical research seeking to join the APS?
**Your new company**
A leader in facilitating health and medical research in Australia, this office is responsible for conducting research and developing policy for future medical advice. The Office also advise the Minister on Medical Research policy matters and conduct strategy behind this. They are undergoing reform work and as such are seeking a APS6 policy officer for an initial contract until the end of the financial year.

**Your new role**
In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking policy research and analysis activities and program-project management. This role will also see you supporting committee governance activities, including oversight of follow up actions whilst managing relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders. Here you will promote and support stakeholder networks, including through connecting and collaborating across the department and the broader Australian Public Service.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you will be a high-performing individual with demonstrated professional experience working as a policy officer within the Australian Public Service. As well as this, you will have:

- Government writing experience, including the ability to develop high level briefs, and general correspondence.
- Ability to break down and assess complex work processes.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills of a high order and ability to work in a small but busy team.
- Manage effective working relationships with internal staff, senior executives and external stakeholders throughout relevant jurisdictions and the Commonwealth.
