YMCA Victoria Early Learning Centres (ELC's) are safe, supportive spaces offering high quality early learning education and care for children aged six weeks to five years old. We have seventeen Centres across Victoria and one Centre in NSW.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, the Executive Manager will be responsible for the strategy, new business development and ongoing operational leadership of Early Learning services across financial, process, people and customer objectives. The Executive Manager will ensure best practice in YMCA Early Learning, focusing on the capacity of our operational leaders to build strong, independent and capable teams.
The role will heavily focus on building relationships internally that provide organisational influence and impact; and the external environment for sector and brand positioning. Responsibilities include:
- Create a culture of ongoing learning where personal accountability is promoted, people are motivated to perform to their best ability
- Establish and implement clear, actionable, strategies for the Early Learning service line which supports the growth and delivery of best practice services
- Develop and implement annual Business Plan and Budget and lead the team to deliver to these targets
- Effective management of Early Learning budget and operational forecasts
This is a full time role. Officially based at Box Hill, you’ll work across many sites and from home, depending on work priorities. The Remuneration for this role is $169,327.06 (inclusive of super).
**About You**
You will be an industry leader in Early Learning and have experience in developing high-level strategies. With extensive knowledge in Children’s Programs and their operating environments you will have significant experience in developing stakeholder relationships and consulting with various departments. Other requirements include:
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills and experience in contract negotiations
- Demonstrated next level leadership skills, including humility, drive, honesty and selflessness
- Ability to problem solve, think laterally, display good judgement and decision making whilst working in a high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, delegate, prioritise and meet multiple deadlines
- Tertiary Qualifications in Early Childhood Development or similar
