The Company

Our client is an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) company that provides technical services to owners, developers and EPCs of renewable generation and storage plants that seek performance reliability and they currently have over 20GW of Solar PV plants under management globally.

With leadership boasting over 20 years of experience, the company also has the global reach and strategic capability to lead the market in this category of technical service around the globe and throughout Australia.

The Role

As the first point of contact for employee queries, you will be supporting the local entity and assisting the Country Manager with all Human Resource activities within the Australian Market. This role will entail onboarding and offboarding of employees, administering employee-based policies, employee training, as well as supporting functions related to employee benefits, leave and payroll management.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Ensure compliance with labor and workplace regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies, maintain employee files and records, ensure HR systems are up to date
- Support the Talent Acquisition, Development Manager and local managers with the ongoing Employee Training Program and rolling out bi-annual performance appraisals
- Ensure Global HR initiatives are implemented locally and help our employees, managers
- Support QHSE Manager in organising safety training sessions, booking employees' medical checks and follow up on results, keeping all employee certifications up to date and organise police and background checks for new and existing employees

Selection Criteria

To be successful for this position you must have:

- Background working in an Electrical/ Construction sector and understanding electrical construction and modern awards
- 2-5 years experience in a similar role working with a multi-national organisation and completing projects independently with mínimal guidance
- Good knowledge of employment/ labour laws and understanding the general human resources policies and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a multicultural team environment, effectively identify and problem-solve relationships with internal and external resources
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict handling skills, ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and desire to work as a team with results-driven approach
