Let’s talk about the Opportunity
Reporting to the Risk Manager, Enterprise Services, you’ll partner with Business Leaders and be responsible for bringing together activities that support effective risk management. You will be responsible for supporting the business in the delivery of their outcomes within an effective risk culture and management of controls, incidents, issues and actions.
- Assist the business with executing requirements of the Operational Risk Policy and supporting framework.
- Verify, oversee and support incident management including effective remedial action plans
- Partner with BU Leads to ensure business risks are identified and managed and where risk has materialised (risk events/incidents) these are captured and remediated appropriately.
- In conjunction with business partners, design effective and efficient key controls ensuring operational effectiveness where control gaps or improvement opportunities are identified.
- Monitor and analyse data and available metrics to understand risk trends and areas requiring attention
- Educate the business unit on the effective design and delivery of controls aligned to risk appetite, internal policies, standards, and responsibilities.
- Lead the improvement of key risk indicators, appetite and risk tolerance settings across business unit risk categories and remedial actions where required.
- Provide efficient and accurate insights and reporting to the business

About you
You are passionate about continuous improvement and simplification while challenging the status quo in a supportive and inclusive environment. You have a customer first mindset and constantly seeks ways to strengthen controls while driving better customer outcomes.
- Solid risk and assurance background with a clear understanding of risk management, assurance and compliance principles will support your experience in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to influence and articulate complex risk scenarios.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing and changing priorities
