**Inventory Controller**

We are looking for an Inventory Controller to join our Warehouse team. You will be responsible for the proper management of inventory levels and perform periodic inventory audits and further inventory analysis, with the goal of ensuring the accuracy of stock levels and status of materials held in inventory.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure that relevant material transactions generated by different business processes (inbound, outbound, and internal transactions) are carried out in the most accurate and efficient way possible.
- Ensure the process for transacting materials in/out of Oracle is accurate.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy on physical stock labelling and storage conditions.
- Monitor and ensure the transfer of materials between sub-inventories is completed accurately.
- Ensure the accuracy of stock levels to increase the efficiency of picking and processing of production and engineering work orders.
- Ensure best practices are adhered to by other team members while issuing materials to other departments within the company.
- Ensure that all transactions are up to date and completed by the cut-off dates as per schedule informed by the Finance team.
- Work to implement process changes to improve the accuracy of inventory levels.
- Use the technology provided to ensure Finisar processes are always adhered to and that transactions best reflect inventory movements.
- Operation of Forklift when required.
- Ability to train other staff in various roles and ensure they understand key reasons for failure and what actions are necessary to ensure its intended outcome.

**Necessary Skills & Experience**
- Experienced in receiving, putting away, picking and despatch processes.
- Customer-oriented mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, as well as the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Understanding of end of month and end of year processing requirements.
- Proficiency with industry-standard computer packages (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Forklift Licence and a minimum of 5 years of experience operating counterbalance forklift.

**Desirable Skills & Experience**
- 5 years’ experience in ERP (e.g., Oracle/SAP/Microsoft/Pronto)
- Several years transacting across the range of warehouse activities.
- Ability to liaise with finance at Month/Year End
