**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Coordinator to join an Aboriginal-led team, the Indigenous Epidemiology and Health Unit (IEHU), which focuses on the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You will provide project support to the team and assist with selected academic outputs such as literature reviews and report preparation. The Research Coordinator will split their time between a project on intellectual and developmental disability among children and women’s cardiovascular health and (if full-time) assisting with a youth health and wellbeing study. IEHU is located within the Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CEB), Melbourne School of Population and Global Health

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate research activities across projects on intellectual disability, cardiovascular disease, and youth health.
- Establish and maintain research advisory groups, including representatives from communities, Aboriginal-controlled community organisations and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and monitor budgets for projects, working closely with the CEB Research Portfolio Manager (who has ultimate responsibility for budgets).

**Who We Are Looking For**
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Research Coordinator with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, which allow you to thrive in a collaborative organisation with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also have high level organisational abilities, capable of setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You will also have:

- A tertiary qualification, with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Ability to perform a broad range of administrative duties.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
