We are currently recruiting a HR Manager - People and Culture (HR Business Partner) to support our Offshore & Remote portfolio across the West Coast. The “ESS” portfolio is a division of Compass Group that provides a range of support service solutions to the resources sector, particularly remote mine sites and offshore oil rigs.
**The Role**
Reporting to the General Manager - People, the HR Manager will provide strategic advice and business partnering to the leadership function, and their teams. As a HR Business Partner, you will shape and deliver on the organisational people plan.
The role is critical in ensuring the organisation attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing workforce that deliver exceptional service.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Steer the ‘big picture’ people strategy to ensure it drive business outcomes and supports growth.
- Been seen as a trusted coach, partner and mentor to peers and operational leaders on engagement and performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and care.
- Partner with operational leaders to develop and deliver the talent strategy and agenda that fosters employee engagement, retention and career growth.
- Engage with the broader people leadership team to develop and execute HR initiatives, strategies and tools that enhance employee engagement, retention, diversity, and inclusion.
- Provide leadership on strategic workforce planning that stabilises the current and future workforce requirements.
- Leverage HR systems, reporting, and analytics to inform decision-making.
- Contribute to and provide guidance on the associated people strategies for new contract bids and mobilisations.

- Demonstrated experience as a Senior HR Professional, particularly in building organisational capability applied within a commercial framework.
- A willingness to provide hands on support, and the energy and enthusiasm to get out amongst the business - which may require travelling to remote mining sites.
- A good understanding and knowledge of industrial relations frameworks.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations and a demonstrated passion for learning
