General Manager - Development

Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled General Manager, Development to join our organisation and assist in driving a transformation of RSL LifeCare's asset portfolio into an innovative and world-class precinct. This includes pursuing community-focused integrated precinct development with various facilities and managing all development aspects, such as master planning, design concept, and project launch coordination.

You will be required to empower and mentor a high-performing development team, closely collaborating with the Chief Property Officer to develop and implement an ambitious strategy for a pipeline of works and ensuring a high standard of development for the property team and RSL LifeCare operating divisions.

We need you to have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in development management, planning, project management, or related field, with 10+ years senior professional experience- Excellent skills in due diligence, financial business case writing, strong commercial acumen and negotiation abilities- Experience managing green/brownfield innovative integrated precinct/destination/place-making development, including feasibility, planning, and concept design involving various facilities.- Proven ability to manage a team responsible for determining the viability of a large development pipeline of works, and expertise in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams in a development management environment.- Effective management of annual capital budgets, experience in managing tender procurement processes, providing technical planning advice, and collaborating for problem-solving- Skilled in using various communication techniques, specialist software, and knowledge of legislative requirements relevant to project planning and development.- Creative, visionary, and strategic thinker with expertise in change management and innovation, and exceptional presence and presentation skills.
