Opportunity
As the Aged Care industry continues to be challenged, RSL LifeCare is seeking a passionate leader for the role of General Manager - Residential Care, to ensure the delivery of high quality care and to drive our strategic objectives and continuous improvements in all aspects of residential care operations for our consumers, residents, and their families. Your strengths will lie in motivating your team to deliver effective care management to every resident to the highest of standards whilst ensuring the operational performance of our homes is excelling.
This role is a critical leadership role which will require you to demonstrate expertise across Clinical Care, Financial Performance, Resident & Family Relations, Staff Development and Management as well as Quality & Risk, ACFI Funding and Governing Bodies. In addition to leading the management team across Residential Care, you will have the direct responsibility for Hospitality Services, ACFI Funding and Wellbeing operational groups to ensure all aspects of our homes deliver our strategic objectives.
Working closely with our Chief Business Improvement Officer, CEO and Executive Leadership team you will have the opportunity to ensure we exceed expectations as well as look to the future of the Aged Care Sector.
You will also:
- Manage risk and compliance within residential care to meet the Aged Care Standards- Ensure all aspects of residential care meet the emerging requirements of the Royal Commission- Ensure the effective financial performance of our residential homes- Manage the organisation structure and staff levels across our homes- Establish Key Performance Indicators and Performance Goals for each direct report and mentor them to achieve this- Foster and develop a culture of care that maintains consumer dignity and choice- Create a safe environment for feedback to allow for continuous improvement from all stakeholders
To succeed in the role, we need you to have:
- Proven leadership capability to guide the organisation through a period of change- Passion for delivering high quality care to our residents, families, and staff- Qualifications as a tertiary health practitioner or similar- Desirable additional qualifications in Gerontological Nursing or other relevant field or demonstrated competence in an aged care environmentWe can offer you:
