Your new role
This business is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join their growing Canberra team. This role supports the delivery of high-quality property management services across a mixed portfolio of investment-grade assets. You'll work closely with senior team members to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering full-suite property management services across commercial assets.
- Support the preparation of asset plans, monthly reports, budgets, forecasts, and sustainability initiatives.
- Administer leases, manage building contracts, and ensure compliance with safety and essential services.
- Build strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders, promoting the business as a workplace experience provider of choice.
- Coordinate tenancy fit-outs, lease negotiations, and ensure timely execution of documentation.
- Conduct regular property inspections and proactively manage arrears and rent collection.
- Champion environmental and sustainability programs across the portfolio.

Technical Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial property management.
- Strong administrative, financial, and reporting capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with lease administration, contractor management, and sustainability reporting is highly desirable.
