Your opportunity
As part of the Parliamentary Education and Liaison team, you will have the chance to advise Members of Parliament and Parliamentary staff in relation to First Peoples protocols and help explain parliamentary processes by delivering engaging and interactive parliamentary education programs.

You will act as the key liaison point between the Parliament and its Committees and First Peoples/Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
You will provide advice on First Peoples cultural protocols as well as help deliver educational programs that explain parliamentary processes to First People communities.
You will also contribute to the Parliamentary Service Reconciliation Action Plan and co-chair the Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group.
In delivering the Eric Deeral Indigenous Youth Parliament and Junior Indigenous Youth Parliament programs, will travel across the State, sometimes by driving. A valid Class C driving licence is essential for this role.

About us
The Parliamentary Education and Liaison team is part of the Chamber and Education Services area in the Assembly and Legislative Services Division and performs a range of services. The Education and Liaison team is a small but mighty unit of three full-time equivalent staff and one part-time staff member.
