**About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide high level liaison, communication and administrative services to the Board Chair, Board Members, and associated internal and external stakeholders.

About you

Maintain knowledge and understanding of the Hospital and Health Boards Act Qld 2011, and associated Acts and Regulations, to assist the Board Chair and Board Secretary to track and ensure compliance with all mandatory requirements and best practice.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of current and emerging Metro North Health/Queensland Health issues, as well as State and Federal Government systems and structures, and accordingly, identify issues relevant to, and/or requiring action from, the Board Chair and Members, and/or the Chief Executive. As appropriate, the position will liaise with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure action is taken to change internal policies and procedures as required.
Develop and provide professional liaison services, in the context of highly sensitive and confidential issues, with clients including the Minister for Health's office, Board Chair and Board Members, the Director-General's office, Board Chairs of other HHSs, Executive Directors and other senior Executive members.
