The Role

We are seeking to engage a Bidding & Submissions Advisor to join our National Team. In this role you’ll be responsible for preparing high quality proposals and assists marketing efforts to support the development and growth of SMEC’s business.
- Note: This role can be based in any of our offices across NSW, QLD & VIC._

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Co-ordinating the preparation of high-quality proposals and marketing materials
- Ensuring the compilation of high-quality proposals in response to both specific and generic opportunities across ANZ
- Actively contributing to the development and maintenance of standard ANZ proposal material including organization charts, resumes and project data sheets
- Co-ordinating the timing and quality of input by others, including third party organisations, into EOIs and proposals
- Demonstrating a collaborative proactive approach to the completion of winning proposals under deadlines and budgetary pressures
- Preparing major proposal updates for the ANZ division on a monthly basis
- Developing processes and templates to improve the content and delivery of proposals for both specific and generic requirements
- Undertaking activities that contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the Bidding and Submissions function
- Working proactively with internal contacts to contribute to pursuit planning
- Acting as a Buddy to new employees, as where required
- Assisting the technical teams with the identifying and management process of relevant panels including notifying changes to personnel (SMEC and client) and tracking currency/renewal of panel membership
- Providing reviews of major and strategic bids to ensure compliance with SMEC standards and policies
- Developing and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the ANZ Marketing team
- Delivering additional project activity that will assist in automating and/or streamlining the bid management/facilitation processes

About You

You’ll be a dynamic, out-the-box
- thinker who has excellent communication skills, a passion for writing and the ability to work within deadlines.

Suitable applicants will have/be able to:

- Tertiary qualification in Marketing/Business or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Produce quality outcomes within an environment with competing demands and tight deadlines
- Work independently towards achieving objectives without supervision
- Create winning proposals, presentations and marketing materials
- Identify clients’ key drivers and check these are addressed in proposals and submissions
- Vision, drive and focus to deliver winning proposals
- Clear and persuasive writing skills
- Advanced level in MS Office including PowerPoint and Visio
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
- Excellent time management skills to work effectively and efficiently towards deadlines
