Financial Accountant | Champion | KEW

Due to some internal promotions we are looking for a Financial Accountant to work in our Champion head officebased in Kew.

This role prepares and reconciles components of the financial records of the Champion Group, as well as supporting financial planning and analysis reporting prepared for key stakeholders.

We are looking for a highly technical Financial Accountant to join our fast paced and rapidly expanding business. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be supporting the broader finance team with a range of month end activities, balance sheet reconciliations and SG&A expense reporting. Working across multiple brands and sales channels, this role provides great exposure within Hanes Brands Australasia.

What will I be doing

**The core responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to**:

- Maintaining the financial controls environment in the General Ledger (JDE) in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Meeting all internal deadlines for preparation and reconciliation of financial information in JDE
- Preparing monthly expenditure reports and engaging with key stakeholders to manage budgets.
- Responding to external and internal audit requests.
- Support the budget and forecasting processes for the Champion Group.

What experience do I have?

CPA qualified
Experience with Oracle software
Audit/professional services experience or commercial experience in a large, complex organisation, desirable
Proven financial accounting skills - you have to know your debits and credits
Strong time management with an ability to prioritise
Naturally curious and a problem solver, with excellent attention to detail
Positive attitude and an ability to work in an environment that is constantly changing
Confident in excel
