Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Executive Assistant on a non ongoing contract for 12 months.

Services will include the following:
1. Participate as a member of a multifaceted team in the development, advocacy, prioritisation, implementation, review and evaluation of the agency's strategy and international partnership program.

2. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to further the agency's strategic and national security objectives; support Whole-of-Government initiatives.

3. Research developments relating to the agency's interests and strategic policies and develop response options to support senior executives.

4. Monitor the agency's national and international obligations, ensuring these developments are accounted for in the agency operational strategy and planning, and evaluating the agency's progress against these obligations.

5. Support the agency's senior representatives attending departmental, Whole-of-Government and international meetings.

6. Draft and coordinate briefing materials, policy and planning documents, reports, ministerial correspondence, and other relevant documents.

7. Manage the delivery of programs, projects and other activities relevant to policy priorities, and/or international engagement activities with other nations (e.g. financial management and administration).

8. Adhoc tasks as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Providing high level executive support to the SES in a professional, accurate and timely manner.
- Performing executive support functions including managing the diary and appointments, inbox and meeting arrangements of the SES.
- Working cohesively and closely with your respective SES Office while assisting other Offices and executive support staff as required.
- Being the first point of contact for the SES, with the provision of clear, timely and effective
- Responsibility for broader administration support, including assisting with the coordination of ministerial and parliamentary requests, as well as reports, submissions, briefs, and records management, organising and providing support for meetings including venues and hospitality, preparation and assembly of meeting packs, managing and acquitting travel arrangements.
- Being accountable for organising your workflow, making decisions within defined parameters relating to area of responsibility and seeking guidance when required.
- Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels to work collaboratively within the work area and other areas of the agency.
- Assisting the senior executive and staff in the branch or work area in fulfilling their responsibilities.
- Leading by example and providing mentoring, guidance and support to Executive Assistants and Executive Support Officers within the Group and the Agency more broadly.
- Identify risks and uncertainties and takes account of these in planning, decision making and priority setting.
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action and tailor communication style and language according to the audience's level of knowledge, skill, and experience.
Mandatory Requirements:

- Must have an baseline security clearance at a minimum and be willing to undergo an assessment for a PV
