The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is currently seeking to appoint a **Project Officer** **Partnerships**to join our Environment and Heritage division.
The Project Officer Partnerships will assist the Principal Project Officer, Partnerships for the Saving our Species program, the NSW Government’s commitment to saving plants and animals at risk of extinction. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with reporting, content planning, relationship building and stakeholder management, stakeholder engagement, and drafting required documents such as briefs for partnership initiatives, events and partner presentations.
The role is responsible for liaising and collaborating regularly with regional teams across the state and other internal and external stakeholders to identify valuable partnership opportunities that can raise awareness of threatened species conservation and support conservation projects as part of the Saving our Species priorities framework. The Project Officer Partnerships also works closely with the Saving our Species Communications team to help deliver partnership content requirements.
**About You**
**Success in the role depends on being able to demonstrate the following**:
- Experience in building new, and nurturing existing, corporate and/or strategic partnerships to deliver environmental or social outcomes
- Success in preparing and presenting proposals to corporates or other stakeholder investors to secure funding or strategic collaborative support, with strong commercial acumen
- Problem solving skills with the capacity to innovate, be flexible and capitalise on emerging partnership opportunities and trends
- Experience in planning, implementing and managing complex projects to achieve priority organisational objectives
- Proven ability in influencing stakeholders to take action and deliver agreed outcomes
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of business development practices
- Understanding of marketing and communications functions such as social media, traditional media, events and content development.
**Key knowledge and experience**
- Strong collaboration and communication skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders
- Experience developing, implementing, managing and monitoring strategic and complex collaborative partnership projects
- Experience in business development or other partnership servicing requirements, such as drafting proposals, presenting, reporting on outcomes, collating data, and capturing shared content opportunities with partners
- Sound knowledge of marketing and communications functions such as social media, traditional media, events and content development.
**Essential requirements**
- A degree/tertiary qualification in business or business development or in a relevant strategic business discipline.
