**About the role**

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

This role provides diverse project management and related support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, implementing and monitoring project plans.

**About You**

**Key knowledge and experience**:

- Sound demonstrated knowledge of NPWS fire preparedness activities & legislative frameworks
- Ability to interpret Fire PPE and PPC standards - providing advice, guidance and support across NPWS
- Ability to use technology eg to update the fire equipment internal website pages
- Stakeholder collaboration to develop understanding of common issues and areas for improvement
- Ability to represent NPWS in liaising with other fire agencies across Australia

***Essential Requirements -**

Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration
