Bid Manager

These programs require world-class engineering management to deliver our technology on time, within budget and to the required quality and functional safety (FuSa) standards.
As the Bid Manager - Automotive and Aviation you will be responsible for driving the Request for Quote (RFQ) response process within Seeing Machines by engaging with all key internal stakeholders and external customers.
The position may be placed in Fyshwick ACT (preferred) or in Collingwood VIC.

**The key responsibilities of the role include**:
Auto/Aviation Business Pursuit projects
Lead the planning phase of all projects within the automotive & aviation business pursuit domain. Responsibilities include:

- Managing business pursuit activities in support of new Automotive and Aviation business globally
- Driving the delivery of quotation responses by arranging kick off meetings, aligning timing with BU, ensuring buy in by those responsible for deliverables, tracking progress, reviewing and ensuring the release of quality documentation.
- Collaborating with Automotive and Aviation business units, Innovation and Engineering teams, and Quality team on all business pursuit activities
- Lead the pursuit support team in all customers (Tier 1 and OEMs) discussions
- Be the primary customer interaction for all technical and administrative conversations
- Support the creation of material (Feature roll out plans, Requirement Analysis Matrix, Work break downs, etc) to address specific customer requests or questions
- Develop and maintain infrastructure to support activities around the RFI/RFQ process
- Close interaction with BU leadership team on RFQ execution, BU strategy and BD roadmap
- Successful handoff of won projects to Project Manager

Mandatory
- Undergraduate qualifications in Engineering, Management, Technology, or other relevant field
- Significant Automotive industry experience, or similar (e.g. Aviation, Medical Devices), and experience working closely with Automotive manufacturers and/or Tier 1 suppliers
- Well-developed project management skills, including knowledge and experience in the use of recognized project management methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence and coordinate teams within a matrix organization.
- Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude, enthusiasm and capacity to operate in a rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and drive teams to meet project objectives.
- Willingness to take initiative and action when faced with uncertainty.
- Strong capability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and positively represent the organization.
- Ability and desire to continuously learn new skills, with the capacity to understand and communicate technical concepts.
- Good attention to detail.

Desirable
- Previous Bid Management experience
- Aviation/Avionics industry experience
- Exposure to process reference models such as ASPICE or CMMI
