The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Licensing Officer to provide an important role within the licensing division of Liquor Control Victoria.

**About the business unit**

Liquor Control Victoria was established on 1 July 2022 and comprises the independent Victorian Liquor Commission and staff from the Department of Justice and Community Safety. Liquor Control Victoria is responsible for issuing liquor licences and overseeing industry compliance and enforcement to ensure that Victorians and visitors to the state enjoy safe and responsible liquor licenced environments.

This is an exciting time to join Liquor Control Victoria and to be part of something new and growing. We are strengthening our focus on harm minimisation and assessment of community impacts as part of our regulatory approach following major reforms to liquor licencing laws that commenced in 2022.

**About the role**

Some of your duties will include:

- Assess, investigate, and respond to routine enquiries and requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform a range of administrative functions including the storage and retrieval of files and responding to general inquiries.
