Leasing and Licensing Officer, Homes Victoria

THE ROLE
**Are you**:
- A property professional with experience in property management within the public, private or not-for-profit sectors?
- A team player and a collaborator with good understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act, Victorian Government Land Policies, and the role of the Valuer Generals Office?
- A good communicator with an understanding of residential lease management specifically in the residential sector?
The Leasing and Licensing Officer is responsible for leasing and licencing transaction management, administration and oversight across various property portfolios owned or leased on behalf of the Director of Housing. These activities include negotiating, drafting, and providing advice on leasing and licensing matters and arranging the execution of documents.
Reporting to the Portfolio Team Leader, this role is also a hands-on property management role that leads lease administration, stakeholder management, critical date and contract management, risk management and general portfolio administration duties.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Lead the negotiation, drafting and execution of lease and licence agreements for Director of Housing owned and leased-in properties; provide advice and recommendations to management on leasing and licensing matters.
- Contribute to the development office processes for the full suite of lease/licensing functions and portfolio management activities including critical date management, performance management, lease negotiation and execution and other related contract management functions.
- Answer queries, provide timely advice, undertake follow up action and identify emerging administrative functions, pre-planning, and evaluation.
