The Project Officer - Operational Engagement will help promote compliance with the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic) by engaging with stakeholders, labour hire providers, hosts, workers and others to prevent the exploitation of labour hire workers and improve the transparency and integrity of the labour hire industry as part of the LHA’s Compliance Program.

The Victorian Government established the Labour Hire Licensing Authority (LHA) to introduce a licensing system to regulate the provision of labour hire services across Victoria. The LHA undertakes a range of licensing, compliance and enforcement activities, maintains public registers and conducts research and education in accordance with the _Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 _(Vic) (Act).

**About the role**

The Project Officer - Operational Engagement will help promote compliance with the _Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018_ (Vic) by engaging with stakeholders, labour hire providers, hosts, workers and others to prevent the exploitation of labour hire workers and improve the transparency and integrity of the labour hire industry as part of the LHA's Compliance Program.

Reporting to the Director Intelligence, Compliance and Enforcement, the Project Officer - Operational Engagement will initially focus on the cleaning, hygiene, and waste management services industries, to identify significant patterns of non-compliance (particularly with workplace laws), engage with relevant stakeholders and develop strategies to drive behavioural change.

This role has a flexible work location with an option of Melbourne CBD or Bendigo.

**Are you**
- Experienced in executing operational projects (ideally in labour relations, waste management and related projects)
- Able to bring together a wide variety of resources to achieve specific goals
- Have a working knowledge of Modern Awards, EBAs and Fair Work rules
- A confident and strategic communicator, with strong attention to detail
