The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Licensing Officer to provide a critical role within Tobacco Licensing Victoria.
**About the Business Unit**
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) provides a range of government programs and services focused on improving community safety, victim services, regulatory services and crime prevention, and building strong collaboration across the justice system. Located in the Integrity, Regulation and Legal Services (IRLS) group, Tobacco Licensing Victoria (TLV) is being established to deliver the Government's commitment to implement a tobacco regulation and licensing scheme.
**About the Role**
Initially reporting to the Senior Licensing Supervisor, the Licensing Officer will support the delivery of licensing functions, including:
- consistent and high-quality service delivery
The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires an organised approach to effective stakeholder engagement.
Core to being successful in this role will be your willingness to adapt to a dynamic environment, your demonstrated initiative and effective communication skills. As the Licensing Officer, some of your duties will include:
- Prepare standard correspondence to applicants and industry participants.
- Assess, investigate and respond to routine enquiries and requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
