The role of the Payroll Officer will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing and maintenance of employee payments and records in accordance with relevant industrial awards and agreements.
The Victorian Government established the Labour Hire Licensing Authority (LHA) to introduce a licensing system to regulate the provision of labour hire services across Victoria. The LHA undertakes a range of licensing, compliance and enforcement activities, maintains public registers and conducts research and education in accordance with the _Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 _(Vic) (Act).
**About the role**
The role of the Payroll Officer will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing and maintenance of employee payments and records in accordance with relevant industrial awards and agreements.
Reporting to the Manager People and Culture, the Payroll Officer will be the first line of support to employees ensuring the day-to-day processing and timely and accurate payment of salary and wages to employees across the organisation to create a positive employee experience. As a key member of the People and Culture Team, the Payroll Officer will also work closely with our Finance Branch to contribute to the ongoing success of the LHA's People and Culture financial systems and processes.
This role has a flexible work location with an option of Melbourne CBD or Bendigo.
**About you**
- Ability to work in a busy environment and process large volumes of work while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service
- High level demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated, keen to contribute to improving systems and processes
- Effective communicator and listener, be able to build and maintain good relationships with our stakeholders
- A working knowledge of Modern Awards, EBAs and Fair Work rules
