We do this by providing financial services, by acting as a Guardian, as a Trustee and by making Wills and administering deceased estates.

The Guardianship Unit (GU) have a temporary vacancy for a motivated and well organised person to work in our dynamic unit as a Professional Support Officer. PTG GU aim to support each person to participate as fully as possible in decisions about their own lives. GU provide guardianship services to adults in our community who have diminished ability to manage their affairs due to a physical, mental, psychological or intellectual condition. Guardianship services are provided under authority of an order of the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT) or an Enduring Power of Attorney.

**Eligibility/ Other Requirements**:

- Due to the nature of their work, the Professional Support Officer will regularly visit high risk settings, i.e., healthcare and aged care facilities. The Professional Support Officer will need to comply with current COVID restrictions prior to entering a high risk setting.

**Notes**:This is a temporary position available immediately for three months with the possibility of extension up to six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
