**Position Title** Reinsurance Support Specialist

**Location Sydney** - HO

**Role Summary**
Manage the administrative tasks related to
reinsurance activities, ensuring accurate data
processing, documentation, and
communication with internal departments and
external partners. Supporting claims settlements, and reporting
functions, contributing to the overall success
of our reinsurance recoveries.

**Primary (Key) Responsibilities**
- Support the processing of reinsurance for claims, including bordereaux, litigated invoice recoveries and statement reconciliations
- Verify data for internal and external reinsurance reports (Legacy bordereaux) and assist with accurate Data for Active Reinsurer (Swiss Re).
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g.Finance, Claims, Underwriting, Actuary Teams) to ensure the smooth flow of reinsurance information.
- Communicate with reinsurers for data clarification, confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of reinsurance documentation.
- Support audit requests and regulatory compliance efforts by preparing requested documents and information.**Secondary Responsibilities**:

**Secondary Responsibilities**
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of reinsurance treaties, facultative placements and related documentation.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help develop standard operating procedures.
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, document management, and calendar coordination for reinsurance-related meetings.

**Key external relationships**
- Reinsurers-Swiss Re, RGA, and Gen Re

**Key Internal Relationships**
- Finance, Claims, Actuary and EDW Reporting

**Qualifications Required**
No formal qualifications are required, however, general knowledge of Retail Life
Insurance and Claims Assessing acquired through experience in a Claims Team is essential along with a proven track record in process improvement and quality assurance.
