**Key Accountabilities **(Key activities, tasks, and outcomes to be achieved)

Role model ARPC’s Values and Code of Conduct and Capabilities set out in the ARPC’s Capability Framework
- **Media Monitoring**
- Manage the daily digital media monitoring function to keep ARPC staff and stakeholders informed about
terrorism and cyclone events and trends.
- **Website content updates and improvements**:

- Post approved content on the website while undertaking a system of regular updates, including editing and
approvals.
- Suggest ways to improve the site look and feel and/or function.
- **High quality communications delivery**:

- Draft and produce the Insurer Customer newsletter with required approvals within set
timeframes.
- Assist with writing and proof-reading external Electronic Direct Mail (EDMs) with required approvals within set
timeframes
- Maintain a Communications calendar of activity.
- Post approved social media content and suggest ideas for a relevant and engaging social media presence.
- Assist and advise on communication materials, for e.g., PowerPoint presentations for conferences
- Consult with external agencies as required for e.g., graphic design, printers.
- **Analytics**
- Collate website, EDM, social media and event analytics to help assess effectiveness of communications

and engagement activities and suggest improvements which benefit stakeholders.
- **Internal communications**
- Assist with drafting content for, and proof reading, the employee newsletter.
- Support ongoing project/change initiatives which involve communications tasks as required.
- Keep organisational chart updated including co-ordination of photos of new arrivals.
- **Events**:

- Assist with production of event management communications materials and logistics
- **Other**:

- Support administration functions for the Comms team as required, for eg, distribution lists for media monitoring- Participate in ARPC corporate projects as and when opportunities arise.

Tertiary qualification (or working toward) in Communications or related field or equivalent experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong professional attitude and behaviours

Conscientious attention to detail

Working knowledge of WordPress and Mailchimp _highly desirable _

Strong project coordination skills in timeline driven/high pressure environments

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint & Excel

Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders

Courteous assertiveness

Communications expertise coupled with energy and passion for the Communications profession
