Our client is a well-regarded, leading legal practice with offices in Melbourne's inner suburbs. They are currently looking for a Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team on a Full time Permanent basis.

The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, including:

- Entering creditor invoices and reconciling creditor statements
- Running daily and weekly payment runs for accounts payable
- Daily receipting and sending monthly reports for debtor follow-up
- Entering disbursements paid on credit card and reconciling against statements
- Performing bank reconciliations for the office account and trust account
- Managing controlled money accounts, including setup, transfers, closure, and calculation of interest and admin fees
- Credit card top-up, GST and Tax Transfer, and preparation of rental invoices
- EOM tasks, including bank reconciliations, controlled money account reconciliations, and preparation of month-end reports
- Answering general accounts queries and providing team backup, including answering telephone and attending to clients/visitors in reception when the office manager is unavailable.

We are looking for an ambitious professional with great numerical skills and Ability to work in a dynamic team environment. Previous experience in the legal sector would be advantageous but not mandatory.
