The Role

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a reliable and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Clerk to join our busy Finance Team.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this newly developed role will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support to Pure Dairy through the timely and accurate processing of invoices, credit card management and month-end reconciliations. Finance experience in food or general manufacturing will be viewed favourably and may put you ahead of others.

Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Invoice entry into Accounts Payable (AUD and foreign currencies)
  • Invoice entry for Trade Sales (AUD and foreign currencies)
  • Credit Cards reconciliation, coding, invoicing and posting to GL
  • Assistance with intercompany invoicing and reconciliation
  • End to end invoice processing for Pure Dairy Inc business – Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, intercompany
  • Reconciliation of prepayments and GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced)
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Maintain accurate supplier records
  • Support with end-to-end Accounts Payable (AUD and foreign currencies)
  • Ensuring all systems and processes are documented
  • Supplier liaising and resolving supplier queries
  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Assist in month end closing – Trade Sales matching with Purchases.
  • Back up for Accounts Receivable
  • Back up for preparing EFT batches for payment.
  • Cash flow forecast back up to support Financial Operations Team Leader/CFO
  • Management of the Accounts Payable email account

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills & qualifications:

  • A background in Accounting is advantageous
  • Strong experience in an Accounts Payable role, with a focus on reconciliations
  • Demonstrated skills and experience working with multiple currencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and fix problems as they arise
  • Moderate to advanced MS Office Word & Excel, with the ability to develop and use V-look ups and Pivot tables
  • Understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with proven displays of initiative
