**About this role**
Do you find purpose in working on iconic projects? Due to increased opportunities, Arup is currently seeking a Structural BIM Technician within our Buildings group to help deliver high quality Building Information Modelling (BIM) models, data and documentation.
Securing an opportunity in this diverse team will ensure you have a rewarding and secure career pathway well into the future. With an exciting pipeline of projects, Arup have a fantastic opportunity for a Structural BIM Technician to join the Building Structures team based in Brisbane.
As leverage your experience in structural engineering drafting and design you will become a key member of team working collaboratively with Arup specialists and clients to deliver efficient and sustainable projects.

**What will I do?**
- Lead engineering/design/drafting tasks in order to meet client requirements for the documentation of various buildings.
- Prepare professional reports/technical documents recording/summarising designs.
- Maintain own professional skill set in line with market/industry standards through training and knowledge building exercises both as provided by Arup and pursued independently.
- Use a combination of standard and modified design and modelling/drafting methods/techniques in order to solve problems including the use of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD), Building Information Modelling (BIM) and analysis software.
- Provide progress information to supervisors and colleagues to allow accurate reporting of progress.

**What will I bring?**
- Relevant industry engineering and coordination experience (at least 3-5 years) in modelling/drafting within a consulting business or contactor environment.
- In depth knowledge of a range of modelling and coordination programs, (Revit / Tekla, Rhino, BIM360, Revizto, Navisworks etc).
- Desire to grow skills and being open to working in digital workflows and innovation in delivery methods.
- An ability to relate and work well with people at all levels within the team and within the wider office, as well as externally with clients.
- Recognises industry best practices and actively promotes their wider use throughout the team or group.
