Senior Architectural Technician

We are looking to expand our Defence team of talented and dedicated people in our Brisbane Studio to collaborate on projects throughout Australia. We are seeking a Senior level Technician, BIM Technician, or Draftsperson to join this team in a full time, permanent capacity.

Skills and Experience

Senior Technicians and Draftspersons work with their manager, under the direction of the Project Leader or Associate, requiring close working relationships with their project team at MODE to deliver high quality design, documentation and construction outcomes. They will collaborate with their team in a highly effective manner which includes mentoring and overviewing junior staff as appropriate to meet deadlines and project requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

• An approved qualification or course relating to technical BIM drafting / documentation.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Technician / Draftsperson role.
• Intermediate / Advanced Revit and / or BIM knowledge with at least 5 years' experience
• Excellent documentation and/or design skill set with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods and detailing.
• Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks to facilitate and coordinate project work
• Ability to work independently and within a wider team and autonomously, working in a fast-paced office environment focused on delivering great project outcomes that exceed client expectations.

You will be able to:

• Support design development, including conceptual designs, design presentations, and preparation and manage project documentation; covering planning and building applications as well as detailed construction documentation.
• On all projects ensure 100% compliance with relevant SID obligations as per the required Act specific to the Studio/project location, including 'Work Health and Safety Act 2011' (AUS), and Quality Assurance (QA) processes.
