The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate and driven leader that enjoys both the detail of estimating/bid management, and the reward that
comes with building and leading a team.
Reporting to our Business Directors, you will be responsible for leading, planning, directing and controlling bids and tenders for
all government, commercial, education, residential and infrastructure project opportunities.
You will work to improve the standing and commercial position of Mono in the market by creating, maintaining and improving
relationships with key stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.
Your Key Contributions
- Development and leadership of Bid & Estimating team
- Provision of best practice solutions/efficiencies and continuous improvements
- Business development activities, including opening up new opportunities, qualifying opportunities, and building upon

trusted relationships
- Effective management, preparation and submission of bids that provide maximum opportunity for success
- Review and analysis of Design & Construction documentation
- Detailed construction cost estimating using appropriate methodologies
- Clear presentation of Mono’s capabilities and value proposition with each tender
- Post tender negotiations including measuring and pricing builder’s quantities
- Handover and ongoing assistance to the project team where required
- Accurate record keeping and knowledge capture

**Ideally you will have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or a related discipline (RICS certification is a

plus)
- At least 10 years’ of industry exposure in a leadership senior level position
- Proven experience in a role demonstrating an in-depth understanding of Bid Management strategies
- Previous experience as a Bid lead on residential, commercial and education projects
- Proven track record of preparing estimation works and tenders with design and construct and lump sum contracts
- Experience with software CostX or similar
