Field Services Officers utilise their building and construction knowledge to play a vital role in maintaining the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing portfolio

Are you
- Knowledgeable in building maintenance, construction and trade practices which you will need to draw upon to solve maintenance problems, coordinate necessary repairs and contribute to the department's property management activities.
- A confident communicator who is client and outcome focussed and can develop working relationships with a range of different stakeholders within and outside of the department.
- An adaptable person who can respond to changing work priorities and can work on your own, in team and sometimes under pressure.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Accurately determine and assess the maintenance requirements for department-owned property assets, Secretary owned and public and community housing and ensure maintenance works requirements are delivered according to the department's frameworks, policies and processes.
- Support the management of vacant property inspections in accordance with vacant unit maintenance procedures and inspect community housing properties where required by the Housing Call Centre in consultation with community agencies.
- Undertake initial assessments and provide expert advice and recommendations for disability modification requests and major building rectification or asset protection activities as required.
