**Due to exciting business growth, we are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join the Payroll team on a 12-month contract.**

**The role**:
Nous has employing entities in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The Australian-based Nous Payroll team of five people works within the broader Finance team and has responsibility for processing payrolls in all countries, supported by external partners outside Australia. Responsibilities will include:

- Processing new starters
- Validating data inflows to payroll systems
- Balancing and reconciling payroll system including timesheets
- Assisting with monthly reporting
- Attending to personnel and payroll enquiries as necessary

**A bit about you**:

- Previous experience with Sage People, and/or MicrOpay payroll desirable
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Ability to accurately assess when escalation is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines

**Flexibility**:

- This is a 12-month fixed term contract full time role with a mix of working time in Nous' Melbourne office and working from home.
