**Job Description**:
**The role**

You will be responsible for the everyday processing of various payroll tasks outlines below. Working closely with several internal departments to deliver accurate and effective payroll services to our employees, internal and external customers across Australia.

This role will be a full-time, 12-month contract position based at our National Support Office in South Melbourne with a mix of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Assisting with everyday payroll processing:

- Entering new employees.
- Changes of employment details.
- Employee termination pays.
- Updating leave log.
- Scanning and saving documents.
- Checking and uploading timesheets.
- Responding to wage queries.
- Adhoc reconciliation and employment letters.
- Ensuring the payroll system is accurately kept up to date.
- Processing online checks:

- Employee work rights.
- Centrelink and Child Support.
- Assisting with month end, year-end & other reporting and reconciliation as required.
- Providing project support as required.
- Adhoc office support to the broader team.
- Have high proficiency in Windows Office, specifically MS Excel.
- Be experienced using MicrOpay or alternate Payroll System.
- Have proven experience in payroll.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting multiple awards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Have accurate data entry skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Hold exceptional organisational skills.
