Payroll Assistant - Fulltime job - Permanent position - Hybrid - Melbourne CBD

**Your new company**
Based in Melbourne's CBD, this software and technology organisation is looking to expand their finance team. Due to the growth of this worldwide organisation, they are looking for a payroll assistant to join their collaborative team.

**Your new role**
In your new position, you will be responsible for a number of duties such as:

- Assisting with the preparation and processing of annual salary reviews
- Compiling reports on base and premium pay;
- Posting entries to journals and ledgers; prepares tax deposits and reports;
- Researching and produces special reports.
- Serving as a liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
- Coordinating third party payroll system implementations and upgrades.
- Interpreting pay policies and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
- Overseeing and/or participate in both fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Amongst other duties

**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

- To have strong excel skills
- ADP Payline, Payforce and Workday experience desirable
- To be Self-sufficient and prepared to be “hands on”
- To be team orientated, accountable and results driven
- To be energetic, highly motivated with a positive can-do attitude
- To be adaptable and flexible to changes in priorities and demands
