**Responsibilities**:
The purpose of this role is to have strategic and operational responsibility to deliver profitable growth within our Agency business.

Working closely with the Business Development Lead, the role will encompass both internal and external stakeholder engagement, as part of a team responsible for new business acquisition and delivering growth.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Driving new client acquisition across targeted industry sectors, referral networks and sponsor/channel partner relationships
- Developing and maintaining a new business pipeline by actively prospecting, cold calling, following up leads, identifying and qualifying opportunities and closing the sale.
- Delivering or exceeding growth targets
- Ensuring long term profitable revenue growth
- Participating in tender responses and building relationships to ensure Gallagher are invited to Tender

**About You**

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

- Experience in a sales role, preferably within the Insurance industry would be highly regarded
- Previous accountability for a new business target, with evidence of exceeding sales targets and the ability to deliver results consistently
- Strong influencing and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build positive internal and external relationships at all levels and with all industries
- Outcome focused to deliver exceptional business results with mínimal supervision
- Tier 1 Insurance broking qualifications (AU) or willingness to undertake
