**The Role**
As our HR Coordinator reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll be the friendly go to person (and behind-the-scenes hero) helping our colleagues with all areas of HR. No two days are the same, but here are some of the exciting things you’ll get to do:
- Keep our HR records in tip-top shape as the detail-orientated administrative wiz You’ll ensure accuracy and structured organization in all HR records, strengthening the core foundation of the department and ensuring compliance to boot
- Assist the HR Manager with fortnightly payroll and HR reporting such as performance tracking, training completion rates, and other important HR metrics
- Scouting for the next top stars in the hospitality industry by supporting the recruitment process - from posting job openings to scheduling interviews
- Welcoming new colleagues through facilitation of the induction and onboarding process, making sure that anyone new is given the knowledge and information they need for an amazing start to their employee journey with us
- Supporting learning and development needs of our colleagues to ensure that we are investing in their growth and progression
- Help coordinate awesome employee events and D&I activations, from birthdays and service anniversaries to International Women's Day and Pride Month (to name a few) and making sure that we give recognition and celebrate our colleagues
- Be the friendly face people turn to for questions about policies, perks, or just a chat. You’ll help keep the knowledge of employee relations easy to understand and up to date
- Always having Health & Safety at the forefront of everything we do, you will help support the WHS initiatives of the hotel and be a strong advocate of physical, mental, and emotional wellness of our colleagues
- Assist in our sustainability commitment through the EarthCheck certification process and help the Green Team/ESG Committee with their initiatives and activations
- Be a true champion of our Hyatt Purpose - We care for people so they can be their best
**Qualifications**:
**The Person**
We are looking for a rising superstar who is inquisitive, with a can-do attitude and values learning and growth with the potential to develop into an advisor role in the future
Here are some things we would be looking for:
- Relevant experience within a hotel environment and/or has graduated from an HR management degree preferred
- Experience with PeopleSoft (Oracle), Mircroster, and Taleo and/or basic knowledge of Fair Work/HIGA/WorkCover/H&S Legislation is highly regarded
- A authentic care for people, approaching everyone with fairness and empathy and wanting to make a real and positive impact
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a genuine approach to building strong and professional interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency in the HR department
- High level of attention to detail and dealing with information/situations with discretion and confidentiality where applicable
- Full legal working right in Australia with no restrictions
