**About the role**
As Event Sponsorship and Attraction Officer, you will be part of the City Events team and will be responsible for Ipswich City Council’s outgoing Event Sponsorship and Major Community Event Sponsorship Program. This role will also support the City Events Manager in the attraction of major events to Ipswich to deliver significant economic, community and cultural return to the City.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the City Events Manager in the attraction of major events to the City through completion of ROI assessments, lead generation and liaison with prospective events
- Develop initiatives and value proposals to capitalise on partnership and destination marketing opportunities
- Develop and maintaining policies, procedures, guidelines and on-line sponsorship management systems including preparation and implementation of all administrative and financial requirements.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail
- Five or more years sponsorship, marketing or event experience is preferred
- The ability to be resilient, agile, collaborative and solutions focused

This is a full-time permanent Level 5 with a salary package commencing at $90,018 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
