**Full job description**:
With a national network across Australia, Cooper Fluid Systems provides hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and fluid transfer solutions to customers throughout Australia. If it involves moving oil, grease, water, air, or fuel, we take pride in being able to design a system for it.

This is an opportunity to join a high performing team with supportive management, as our Carole Park based Purchasing Officer.

The purpose of this position is to provide support and assistance to the business with a primary focus on second and third tier supplier relationships. Ongoing tasks will include; to manage the day-to-day operational functions encompassing, purchasing, system maintenance and some general administration duties;
**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Procurement for WIP Jobs, Projects, customer orders & stock orders;
- Maintain purchase supplier orders progress;
- Expedite purchase orders;
- Maintain & update outstanding requisitions;
- Tracking purchase orders to ensure on time delivery;
- Liaise with suppliers & maintain effective supply partner relationships;
- Leverage supplier relationships to source a wide range of products and materials;
- Liaise with internal staff for supply effected scheduling and order management;
- Ensure that system maintenance activities are conducted and issues are rectified in a timely manner, (purchasing based reports).

**What you’ll need to succeed**:
To succeed in this role, you will be a self-starter who is able to work autonomously. Ideally, you will have prior experience in a procurement specific or similar role and;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite in particular, Excel;
- Prior experience using Oracle or D365 would be helpful, but not essential;
- The ability to achieve outcomes with changing priorities;
- High level of organisational skills;
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
