Are you an experienced professional in governance, information management and privacy, looking for a leadership opportunity? Join our dynamic team as a Coordinator Governance, Information Management and Privacy and play a critical role in upholding the integrity, compliance, and strategic direction of our organisation.
**What you’ll be working on**
- Lead a high-performing team in governance, integrity, and information management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations under key legislation.
- Develop and implement governance and information management policies.
- Manage Council agendas, minutes, and reports with high compliance standards.
- Oversee Council meetings, Citizenship Ceremonies, and Junior Council Program.
- Act as Information Privacy Officer, overseeing training, monitoring, and policy development.
- Manage Audit and Risk Committee agenda, minutes & reports with high compliance responsibilities.
- Ensure timely production of quarterly reporting against the Council Plan and LG Performance Reporting Framework.
- Provide advice as needed into the four (4) yearly Council Plan 2025 - 2029 development program.
- Drive digital transformation in document and information management.
- Ensure compliance with emergency management regulations and corporate security.
**What you need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Legal, Local Government, or extensive experience in local government administration.
- Strong understanding of local government operations, governance, and risk management.
- Extensive experience in interpreting legislation, best practices, and policy development.
- Proven leadership experience in managing governance, privacy, and information management teams.
- High-level research, analytical, and financial management skills.
