Our client in the government sector seeks an** Adviser - Health, Safety and Wellbeing**for a 6-month contract hybrid role based in Melbourne CBD
- **Term**: 6-month contract (Flexible Start: 6th or 13th January 2025)
- **Salary Range**: VPS4 $95,102 - $107,905 + super (pro-rata)

**About the Role**

We are seeking a **Temporary Adviser** to support the **Health, Safety and Wellbeing** team in the creation of procedures and documentation. This role focuses on the development of staff protocols, policies, and supporting documents related to managing environmental risks, including natural disasters (floods, fires, heatwaves, etc.).

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Procedure & Documentation Development**: Assist in the creation of protocols, policies, and risk management documents related to employee safety in environmental emergencies (e.g., floods, fires, storms).
- **Remote Work Protocols**: Develop guidelines for employees working remotely during identified regional emergencies.
- **Travel Arrangements**: Create protocols for travel safety and arrangements during adverse weather conditions or natural disasters.
- **Risk Management Assessments**: Conduct risk assessments for staff safety in the context of environmental risks and develop appropriate measures.
- **Information Sheets**: Prepare tips and information sheets to help staff stay safe during extreme weather events or emergencies.

**About You**:

- **Problem Solving**: Ability to identify and manage issues related to health and safety during challenging environmental conditions.
- **Consultancy**: Provide clear, expert advice on health, safety, and environmental risk matters.
- **Relationship Building**: Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of policies and protocols.
- **Communication**: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, accessible documents for staff.
