You will be working for a caring not for profit provider of healthcare services across Metro Melbourne.

**About the Role**
Based on the Melbourne CBD fringe, this role supports and reports to the People & Culture Executive Lead. Be part of the team providing Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) operational advice, guidance and leadership, including safety system implementation, legal and regulatory compliance and HSW project development and implementation.

**Responsibilities include**:
Prepare and present regular HSW reports, develop and initiate projects, oversight of incident and emergency management, assist in addressing new emerging issues and trends. In addition to responsibilities for HSW objectives and risk elements, work collaboratively with other members of the HSW team on shared projects such as chemical, fatigue and manual handling to name a few.
- Offer advice on regulatory compliance with relevant policies and guidelines including relevant acts, regulations, code of practice and regulating agencies
- Attend committee meetings, liaise with managers, HSR's and HSW team to problem solve HSW issues
- Measure, identify improvement areas, report, and take corrective action
- Analysis of HSW data and systems, produce complex reports to drive HSW oversight and accountability
- Ensuring the business complies with agreed and approved internal and external Health & Safety policies, guidelines, legislation & frameworks
- Work closely with business units to ensure a holistic approach to HSW
- Contribute to RTW strategies and WorkCover impacts

**To be successful in this role you should possess**:

- Tertiary qualification, Certificate IV WHS or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a safety role, ideally within a health, disability or community service environment
- Certificate IV in Training and Workplace Assessment - favourable
- Analyse safety data, systems and produce complex reports
- Ability to manage projects to ensure achievement of objectives
- Auditing and risk management experience, desirable.
- Strong administrative skills
