An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Corporate Services Branch as Principal Adviser, Health Safety and Wellbeing Consultant in the People and Culture team at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The People and Culture unit works across the department and its portfolio agencies, to create a high performing workplace that puts people first.

As the Principal Health, Safety and Wellbeing Consultant you will support the operational health safety and wellbeing team through the provision of high-level advice and assistance at an organisational and operational level and will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of health safety and wellbeing processes and improvement activities and projects to support the health and wellbeing of our employees.

In this role you will lead, develop and coach a small diverse team of OH&S professionals, including developing and embedding a best practice consultancy model for the team to provide expert advice across DPC and its portfolio agencies.

This position offers the opportunity to showcase your excellent problem solving, communication and relationship building skills and work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in providing succinct and clear expert advice on a range of employment, change management or health and safety matters.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004) and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
- Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.
- Sound problem solving and analytical skills.
