**About the role**:
The Marketing & Development Manager holds a vital role in the operation of the School with comprehensive responsibility for the planning, oversight, and execution of all aspects of the Development Office, encompassing the areas of student enrolments, marketing & promotion, community relations and communication - both internal and external - and alumni.

Reporting to the Principal, the Marketing & Development Manager manages the marketing strategy of the School and promotes it to the wider community; thus, assisting families in helping them decide that Glennie is their School of choice.

**Key tasks and responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational marketing and customer relationship activities
- Seek new opportunities for promotion of the School
- Plan, direct, and oversee the marketing and business development initiatives within the School
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of marketing plans to penetrate new markets
- Oversee all aspects of the School’s internal and external communications
- Plan and direct public relations programs designed to promote and maintain a favourable public image for the School
- Prepare media releases and interview material for the Principal on relevant topics
- Provide guidance to internal staff on branding and general marketing activities
- In collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, developing and maintaining an innovative and contemporary enrolment strategy
- Develop progressive strategies to grow student enrolment numbers
- Collate and analyse enrolment data to develop targeted marketing campaigns to attract enrolments
- Be the School’s liaison between the School and School community groups
- Develop and implement a Community Relations Strategy to engage with the current and wider community
- Oversee the organisation, running, and marketing of major functions in collaboration with relevant staff at the School
- Attend relevant School and community events to represent The Glennie School

**About you**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a field commensurate with the area of responsibility
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a marketing management capacity and experience in leading the marketing function
- Experience in publication and print management
- Experience in developing and implementing successful communication campaigns
- Experience with the provision of written and electronic advertising and promotional material
- Proven media relations success
- Experience in the use of contemporary software appropriate for duties, including advanced technology skills with sound understanding of design programs, website management and social media
- Understanding of, or previous experience in, the education sector would be highly regarded
- Ability to travel to rural and remote areas to enhance the marketing of the School
- Maintain a degree of flexibility in working hours from time to time as required for the position
