Purchasing Officer - Immediate Start - Pronto
This hugely successful mining services and construction company has a new role for a Purchasing officer with Pronto experience to join their small Supply Chain Team.
**Duties**:
- Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers.-
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.-
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop strategic procurement plans.-
- Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations, and supplier capabilities to inform decision-making.-
- Conduct regular cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost reduction. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement activities.-
- Maintain accurate and organised procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.-
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.**Skills**: - Strong negotiation and communication skills.-
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.-
- Proficient in procurement (Pronto) software and Microsoft Office Suite.Good knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Pronto) is required. The client is looking for someone to start at short notice on a contract basis, but the role may become permanent in the long term for the right person.
